Get report on clicks: an update on API endpoints

Why we changed it
A product update on click stats.
We’ve released a new version of the click statistics endpoint: /v2/api/stats/click. If your site or app pulls click stats from us automatically — your own integration, or a third-party reporting tool — this affects you.
Move your integration to V2 by 1 October 2026. Take all reporting for 1 October onwards from the new endpoint. V1 (/v1/api/stats/click) stays up until 1 November so you can finish pulling your history through 30 September. From 1 November, requests to it return an error instead of data.
What you need to do
If someone on your team set this up, pass this along to them: the integration needs to move to /v2/api/stats/click before 1 October 2026. The date parameters work differently in V2, so this is more than swapping the URL. Parameters, examples and the full field list are here: Get report on clicks
Two things to get right before switching
Your switchover date is 1 October at the latest: everything up to 30 September comes from V1, everything from 1 October comes from V2. Finish pulling your V1 history before 1 November. The two versions build their aggregate rows differently and give them different id values, so you will not be able to match old and new rows one to one. Don’t try to stitch the two datasets together.
And totals for the same date range will differ between the two versions, because the date filter means something different in each. That one is expected, and the section below explains why.
Why we changed it
The old version had a single date filter, and it worked on when a row was last updated. Asking for 1–7 August returned whatever had been touched in that window: some rows belonged to July, while August clicks updated on the 9th were missing. The new version returns the clicks that belong to the days you asked for, and adds a separate filter for everything that changed since your last pull. Counts for a day can still go up as late clicks are applied. Merchant names now come back in the response alongside the ids.
If you need more time, talk to your account manager before 1 October, or email publishers@takeads.com. Any other questions go to the same address.
